3 Idiots|Movie Review

This is one of my favorite movie. It brought me to tears!!!! :/

At first I was hesitant to watch this film for more than a year now due to the title’s lack of sense in spite of the massive popularity it established from the word-of-mouth alone. I lastly gave in when my dorm mates who are engineering students reviewing for the board exams convinced me. And man after watching the film I was full of regret I didn’t regrets it earlier. The film is so good that it leaves you breathless long after the movie was over. All is well, very very well.

The story started with two friends embarks on a quest for a lost buddy. As they make their way through the jaw dropping photographic landscapes of India, another journey begins: their inner journey through memory lane and the story of their friend – the irrepressible free-thinker Rancho (Aamir Khan), who, in his unique way, touched and changed…

Will Ferrell Hints at ‘Zoolander 2′: ‘Mugatu is a Part of it’

While rumors of Zoolander 2 have been swirling for years, it appears that we might actually see Derek and the gang back on the runway sometime soon.”We are actually supposed to do a read-through of a sequel script soon, and Mugatu is a part of it,” Ferrell confirmed to JoBlo Sunday. Presuming Ferrell hasn’t just taken too many crazy pills, this seems like a good sign.

Nicole Parker

It’s been more than ten years since Ben Stiller’s Derek Zoolander posed on the big screen, but it sounds like prospects of a “Zoolander” sequel are heating up.

Will Ferrell, who appeared in the 2001 comedy as an evil fashion designed named Mugatu, offered an update recently, and even dropped the info that his villain could be returning.

“We are actually supposed to do a read-through of a sequel script soon, and Mugatu is a part of it,” Ferrell told JoBlo.

While there’s been no official confirmation that a sequel is in fact happening, the players involved, including Stiller and Justin Theroux, have not been shy about talking about it, especially in the past year. In June, Stiller, who directed as well as starred in the first movie, told journalists at Taormina that his production company Red Hour Films was “actively” working on a rewrite.

Do You Believe in Karma?

Extraordinarily, one of my strongest and unforgettable childhood memories is when I called my brother stupid and after a while I got stumble with my feet crossed. Loll! My brother told me that I God punished me for being mean-that seemed to make sense in the Catholic framework in which I was raised. Perhaps if I was raised as a Buddhist or Spiritist, my brother would have told me it was “Karma”, or a spiritual theory of moral causation that teaches the power of good action or deed. Karma can be demonstrated by the phrase “What goes around comes around” and “You reap what you sow”. And this is a fairly common belief adopted by many cultures that has real effects on our behavior and on society.

Good Karma

Many spiritual teachers claim that karma is like debts owed. Sometimes there are positive debts, “Good Karma,” and sometimes there are negative debts, “Bad Karma.”

An example of “Good Karma” is when we do good deeds with the expectation, implied or explicit, of some kind of reward. This is like the pay-in-advance principle. By having the expectation of repayment, we’re setting ourselves up for the debt to be paid back later, either in the future of this life, or in a future life. The snare then becomes when the expectation remains unfulfilled. It becomes our own prospects that tie us to people, places or events lifetime after lifetime.

I’ll sometimes have clients that feel that their children owe them for all that they’ve done and the sacrifices that they’ve made. As a result, the parent is left sad and unfulfilled when their efforts go unrecognized.

Again, it’s the “expectation” that creates the karma. And it’s these same unfulfilled expectations that lead to unhappiness. For one person it may be a child and for another it may be a spouse, lover, business partner, etc. The answer, of course, is when doing good deeds (such as acts of charity) to do so without expectations. This attitude leads to no karmic affects.
So even “Good Karma” isn’t something to be desired in life. The enlightened view is always to neutralize all karma.

Bad Karma

Contrary to common misunderstanding, Bad Karma isn’t when you do something bad to someone then they will do something bad to you. Bad Karma is when you do some action to someone and you then feel guilty or responsible for committing that action.
The important point here is that it becomes your own guilt, blame, shame or other emotions that keep you indebted to repay for the actions that you’ve committed, even when those actions are from a previous lifetime.
So if you do something “bad” to someone, and if you feel responsible for what you’ve done, you’ve now incurred “Bad Karma”. If that person whom you did something “bad” to feels the need for revenge, the two of you might even plan a life together where he has the opportunity of taking his revenge and for you to be released from your guilt.

Should one believe in Karma? I certainly don’t think so. First, because evidence clearly does not support such a phenomenon (that should be reason enough) and second, because it is imperative that we don’t blame victims and make those who have good fortune into gods. We live in a world that is not always fair, and not always just. What goes around does not always come around, and many times people reap more than then they sow. It is up to us to help and offer sympathy those who need it and not expect “Karma” to pay us back, and do good simply for goodness sake.

Chris’ friend Archie always light up a cigarette every time he has a chance to smoke  while having a coffee break, before and after going inside the office, even at home. Chris was so worried both for his friend’s health and for his own. He’s not sure if Archie knows that smoking addiction could tremendously affect the health of people when he smokes around. But he recommended his colleague to try addiction center rehabilitation.

Yes, we all know that smoking is a bad habit, but we should be responsible enough to know if we can affect some people whenever we burn cigars into a public place. These secondhand smoking increases persons’ risk for:

Inhaling secondhand smoke causes lung cancer. Roughly 3,000 lung cancer patients die each year among adult nonsmokers in the United States as an effect of exposure to second smoke. US Surgeon General say that living with a smoker increases a nonsmoker’s probability of developing lung cancer by 20-30 percent. Some study also suggests that it may increase the risk of nasopharyngeal cancer and nasal sinus cavity cancer.

It increases the risk of coronary heart disease by 30%, the leading cause of death in the United States. Indication quickly accumulating that the cardiovascular system-  heart rate variability, atherosclerosis, energy metabolism and inflammation- is intricately sensitive to the chemicals in secondhand smoking.

According to Women’s Health Initiative (WHI), women exposed to second hand smoke had a significantly increased risk of hostile pregnancy effects, stillbirth, ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage. Newly born babies may also die from Sudden Infant Syndrome (DIDS). For this reason, women that are pregnant  are advised to avoid environments where heavy local, state, and national governments have legislated some laws intended to protect people from health hazards related to second hand smoke.
